Cardiac Catheterization Technician

Job Overview

Skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician needed for a busy cardiac catheterization lab at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital in Jackson, MI. You will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, supporting complex cardiovascular cases including coronary stenting, PTCA, atherectomy, and peripheral angioplasty. On-call participation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Support complex cardiovascular procedures including PTCA, coronary stenting, atherectomy, and peripheral angioplasty
• Prepare, maintain, and operate specialized cath lab equipment and imaging systems
• Monitor patient status during procedures and assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Perform laboratory administrative duties including documentation and supply inventory management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and cath lab staff for efficient workflow

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
• 2 years full-time experience in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology
• Experience assisting with complex interventional cardiovascular procedures
• On-call participation required; must be available for late cases
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred
• RCIS certification preferred

Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in health, science, or related field preferred. Graduate of an accredited Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
